Bratislava - Vienna Boat Connection


Bratislava and Vienna, the two capital cities located on the Danube river at a distance of no more then 50 km of each other will be connected by a high-speed boat in the coming tourist season. The Central Danube Region Marketing is starting their TWIN CITY LINER project, establishing a direct scheduled link between Schwedenplatz/Marienbrücke in Vienna and Propellerhaus in Bratislava (right on the edge of the Old Town with major city attractions). A 75-minute cruise will be available 3-times a day between 1 June and 29 October. The rates start at EUR 15 for the round-trip.

The special boat for up to 102 passengers has been built in Norway. It is 33,7 m long, 8,5 m and can reach the maximum speed of 55 km per hour. The catamaran offers real comfort, incl. air-conditioning, seating in leather, panoramic windows, lookout deck and the snack bar.

ITF SLOVAKIATOUR

The 12th International Tourism Fair SLOVAKIATOUR, the most important travel show in Slovakia will be held in the INCHEBA Exhibition Centre in Bratislava, January 26th to 29th.
It is a unique meeting of tourism professionals as well as a chance for travellers to get to know the offer of the travel agencies for the coming season.
The event also includes specialized exhibitions, e.g. DANUBIUS GASTRO – a gastronomy exhibition, EXPOSHOP – exhibition of equipments and technologies for shops and warehouses, GASTROPACK - exhibition of packing materials and packing machines and facilities, SPORT exhibition CAMERA SLOVAKIA - a travel film festival and HUNTING AND LEISURE exhibition.
