Bratislava Tourist Information Centre

The main Bratislava Tourist Information Centre on No. 2 Klobucnicka has been re-open after an extensive refurbishement. Located right next to the beautiful Primate Palace, the new Info Centre is to enhance the services provided to the visitors to our Little Big City.
Except for answering any questions that they might have, the Tourist Information Centre also offers other servies incl. securing last-minute accommodation in hotel, guest-houses and self-catering holiday apartments, organizing sightseeing tours, souvenir, map and city guide shop, ticket sale and interpreting.
The other Bratislava Tourist Information Centres are located at the M.R. Stefanik airport and the Main Train Station (Hlavna stanica). In the summer months (April – Octorber), there will also be one open in the passenger port on Fajnorovo nabrezie.

Easter Market

The traditional Eeaster Market starts in Bratislava on Friday, March 31. Some 20 wooden stools on Frantiskanske square will mainly offer folk art product, e.g. leather belts and bags, candles, wooden toys and dishes, pottery products, jewellery, pictures painted on glass, straw bowls and baskets etc. The market will be open daily, 10 am to 6pm untill Monday, April 17th.
Aston Hotel Bratislava

The new Aston Hotel is to open in Bratislava in May. The modern business hotel located on Bajkalska street is to offer well-apointed accommodation in the deluxe rooms all equipped with modern amenities including air-conditioning, LCD satelite TV, DVD, Wi-Fi internet connection and sound-proof windows. Jewels of the Modern Arts

The paintings by the most renowned Slovak and Czech artists are being presented in the Bratislava City Gallery. The Jewels of the Modern Arts exhibition contains 67 works from the Czech galleries and 30 pieces of the Slovak modern art, all from the period between 1907 and 1945. The exhibition is available untill April 9, 2006 in the historic building of the Palffy Palace on Panska 19.

Bratislava Motor Show
Autosalon / Autoservis Bratislava, the 16th annual international exhibition of automobiles, accessories, autoshop and garage technology will be held in the Incheba Exhibition Centre between 21 – 26 March 2006. 24 car-makers from all over the world will present their passenger and utility vehicles, trucks, car accessories and motorist services.
The exhibition will be open to public Wednesday to Sunday, from 9am to 6:30pm. Entrance fee SKK 100.

Francophonic Film Festival

The 8th International Festival of Francophonic Films will be held in Bratislava in the next few day. Some 40 movies can be seen between Thursday, March 16 and Wednesday, March 22 in the Tatra Movie Theatre. More information at www.fiff-bratislava.sk.

Sting Concert

Today is the happy day for me. I have just found out that Sting, the most favourite artist of mine will be giving a concert in Bratislava. I wonder if it will be even better that the one I went to in Prague over a year ago. THE Time: June 21, 7pm. THE Place: Artmedia football stadium in Petrzalka. I just can't wait...
