Bratislava Night Clubs, Bars and Pubs

Bratislava offers many pubs, bars and clubs suitable to have a few drinks only or to dance all night long. More and more visitors choose to visit Bratislava not only because of the rich history, but also because of the cheap good beer and the beautiful Slovak ladies all around. And the city centre of Bratislava features many cool places, ranging from traditional pubs to the trendiest clubs.

The Dubliner, a typical Irish pub on Sedlarska street, with cheap Guiness, good pub food and the big screen with sports, is the most popular place to start the evening. The alternative would be the next door cowboy-style El Diablo Pub with the Mexican restaurant on the 1st floor.

Also the 17th Bar on Hviezdoslavovo namestie 17 with the best Czech beer at SKK 40.-, huge pizza with lots of Garlic and the late opening hours attract the crowds.

The large 1st Slovak Pub on Obchodna 62 can accomodate up to 600 patrons. Purely Slovak design of rooms representing the various periods of the national history, the cheapest typical Slovak meals and many Slovak students drinking here make it a good choice for the case you wish to get to know a little of the typical local pub atmosphere. Also Hysteria Pub on Odbojarov 9 (little bit out of the centre) is always full of students.

For fine coctails, or to meet some of the local wannabies, the trendy, but quite expensive People’s Lounge on Gorkeho 1 can be recommended. The same owners also feature the very popular The Paparazzi Ristorante & Cocktail Bar on Laurinska 1. The stylish Cocoloco nearby the historical Michaels Gate is being looked for by the party people of Bratislava because of the cool coctails and the great atmosphere.

The most popular places to dance are the two former bomb shelters, U Club below the Castle and Galeria Duna on Radlinskeho 5. Also Cirkus Barok on a three-deck boat anchored near the city centre on Razsusovo nabrezie and re-opened Charlie’s Pub on Spitalska 4 are always full of party people on weekends.
